Dietrich - AA Board

Wow, not a good feeling and certainly not someone who backs any kind of labor. United just posted their Q3 results and things looked decent, but I still am getting very worried about the industry in the coming months.

Airlines just keep recycling the same

  • Matthew J. Hart – Former Executive Chairman and CEO of Hilton Worldwide, with decades of leadership in hospitality and finance.
  • Robin L. Hayes – Former CEO of JetBlue Airways and longtime airline executive with expertise in commercial aviation.
  • Jennifer H. Scanlon – President and CEO of UL Solutions and former executive at USG, focused on industrial products and safety certification.

Holy moly Mike Van de Ven is on there. Yikes! I never thought I’d see that name again.

He was one of those responsible for the SWA Christmas flightmare of 2022, and he had sailed off a few months prior to leave his life’s work pile of excrement for others to clean up.

Good luck.

I don't think this list is accurate. Jim Albaugh, Robin Hayes, Michael Van de Ven, John Hess, Michael Angelakis, Jennifer Scanlon, and probably some others are not currently on the Board.

Greg Smith, Doug Steenland, and now John Dietrich are.

I should have gotten an MBA, it seems like you can endlessly fail upwards in that world without a concern for job security.
