This was shortly after 9-11. They also played Hymn to the Fallen from Saving Private Ryan.

The Revolutionary War was kinda like the UK’s Vietnam. During the revolution, Radical Whigs in the UK wore blue and buff hats in support of the colonists. Rarely mentioned in our history books is that the “tyrannical acts” claimed of the king were really acts of Parliament and some colonists suggested George be King of an independent America. By the time of the Revolutionary War, the king was quite weak.

It’s not like the audience paid for the show, directly. Kinda worth it for the story.

In college, would spent the 4th at Gravely Point watching fireworks bounce off planes on final to DCA. Kinda crazy, there was no effort to stop it. However, better than drones.
