Or maybe, it’s just the fact that he is undeniably a Christian. Which he is.

Trump sucks but he’s not the reason everything happens.

That's an interesting question, how would you feel if he'd done either of those options? Would you still be disappointed that religion (or the belief that it's all balderdash) was brought into it?

You're ok with it, because it just happens to be your particular flavor. It's ok to admit that.

Many others would view it as moment that really could have resonated with billions, but alas there had to be a smudge.

My dad and I stumbled into the Stafford museum ten years ago by accident when we finished a project in Weatherford a day early and had some time to kill. We still talk about it being the best aerospace museum we'd ever been to and how we've got to get back there some day.

100% it is. I was working a week TIK, heard about its existence and figured, what the heck, I’ve got a day off, may as well check out this small museum about an hour and change drive to the west. Ended up spending the whole day there, then heading the next day to CSM where the F-117 was being restored, to give technical advice on the aircraft and airframe, since the USAF gives zero Mx or tech data with the shell of the jets they send to museums. Hands down, the best space flight museum I’ve experienced.

If it wasn’t for Madalyn Murray O’Hair et al. v. Thomas O. Paine et al. you’d probably have watched Buzz have communion on the moon. Which he did. Alas, we are a litigious society. Apparently NASA has become a little more forgiving since the Apollo 8 dust up.

I’m sure you have a champion at NASA. Maybe you’ll get your turn.

Also could be a throwback to Apollo 8 and how they weaved Genesis into their Christmas message as they orbited the moon in 1968. Plus they listened to a recording Lovell made for them prior to his death in which he used the phrase "the good Earth" which he said in 1968.

There are all kinds of reasons to get wrapped around an axel, particularly today. But I never understood people getting offended t the mere mention of faith, whether they believe in that faith or not. A Muslim or Hindu or Wiccan or whatever wants to pray for me? I'll thank them and accept the prayer. It ain't that hard.
