F-15E shot down over Iran

Everything I have heard, which isn't too much, sounds movie worthy
Sounds like 2 Herks may have been scuttled.

“The WSO evaded Iranian forces for more than 24 hours, at one point hiking up a 7,000ft ridgeline, a senior U.S. military official said. U.S. attack aircraft dropped bombs and opened fire on Iranian convoys to keep them away from the area where the airman was hiding. As U.S. Special Forces converged on the downed airman, they fired their weapons to keep Iranian forces away from the rescue site, but did not engage in a firefight with the Iranians.

In a final twist after the officer was rescued, two transport planes that would carry the commandos and the airmen to safety got stuck at a remote base in Iran. Commanders decided to fly in three new planes to extract all the U.S. military personnel and the airman, and they blew up the two disabled planes rather than have them fall into the hands of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).”

Last part reads like an homage to Eagle Claw

I wonder why they haven't released the names of the rescued pilot and weapons officer? And why did the two officers land miles apart?

Some people I know think there's a cover-up. I don't think there is, but those were some of the questions asked among my circle of friends.

probably because it’s nobody's business. View attachment 89167

Speaking of. I want to know why so much of this is being discussed by govt and military with specifics on sources, manning, methods, techniques, and tactics, regarding this rescue operation, when combat operations are still in progress, and these kinds of things might need to be used again. Statements should be “the second F-15E crewman has been successfully rescued from enemy territory.” And that’s it.

i think it’s Cheeto and his ball jiggler Hegseth saying Look what we did….

“The president told reporters today that not every senior military official was on board with the mission over the weekend to rescue two crew members. He noted that some warned him against the operation.

Trump asked the chair of the joint chiefs of staff, Dan Caine, how many officers he sent into Iran for the rescue mission.

“I’d love to keep that a secret,” Caine said, before the briefing room erupted with laughter, including from the president.

“I was told that this is a very dangerous mission,” the president said. “They said, you know, we’re going to be sacrificing hundreds of people do this.”

There are rumots this was a foray into snatching refined Uranium, based on the relatively close proximity to Fordow and Natanz and distance from where the HC-130s were seen with Blackhawks, closer to the Gulf.

Everything I know says the Uranium is stored in hundreds/thousands of pressure vessels between the size of scuba tanks to kegs. They might as well be talking about retreiving a tanker's worth of oil from a few hundres miles inland.
