An airline pilot asked center what the first digit was in the frequency the other day.

Cool story. An abnormal question, but not out of the possibilities given the range of frequencies used in aviation. Such as 243.00 which serves the same purpose as 121.50. Or we could get into HF radio that also has frequencies beginning with numbers other than 1.

Is there a purpose with this post other than trying to ridicule a fellow aviator?
