Social media isn’t as old. Give it some time.

Social media is just the 21st century printing press, the people espousing their views would do if through what ever modern mechanism they have access to

Religion.

What is it you don’t like about the Muslim religion?

Maybe I had a stroke, but I don’t remember typing that. What I did type was an example of religion causing a divide in society, in this case against Muslims.
Which came first, the chicken or the egg? Muslim and Christian’s have been fighting since the Battle of Mu’tah. Nothing has changed.

If you hate religion you hate Muslims as much as you hate Christians. They both create the division you speak of.

One religion though has the most powerful lobbyist group in this country has convinced this country to join their religious fight in order to help some second coming. And you have the SecDef quoting bible passages. So there’s that.

You be ok if if was a Muslim lobbyist group?

And that’s worse than Iran that puts a religious leader above their president to make decisions for the country? They dont call him the “Supreme Leader” for nothing.

My point is, If he wants to hate Christians only he should say that instead of the blanket “religion” he keeps using.

I'm equally critical of all religions how's that?

While social media isn't the best thing, it has a looooong way to go to catch up for the toll on humanity that religion holds.

No - there shouldn’t be any religious lobby group. And there DEFINITELY shouldn’t be any lobby group for the interests of a foreign government (like Israel).

If you're going to divert for this, why not for this?

Double standard detected. End of the day, keep your flavor of worship to your temple/church/mosque.

Ah, I see where you’re not getting it. I hate religion, but that doesn’t mean I hate Christians or Muslims. It means I hate Christianity and Islam (etc). Are there Christian’s and Muslims I hate? Yes. But it’s generally because of how they go about practicing or forcing others to follow their beliefs, not because they follow a religion. In our country the majority is Christian, and it’s Christian’s who are trying to impose their beliefs into laws that affect my life, not Muslims, so therefore it’s my hate towards them that gets the most vocalized.

Now is the time for good men to come to the aid of their country

If you hate religion, but only vocalize against Christians because they're local, that sounds like selective outrage. "Narrow, unenlightened self interest doesn't impress me"(Thank you George) Dismissing threats from Islam(or any other religion for that matter) because they're not as immediate in your backyard? Hating "how they go about practicing" applies equally, plenty of Muslims advocate for or enforce sharia influenced laws in their communities or countries, Have you looked up some of their practices? If you think the Christians have it out for the LGTBQ+ community....whoooeee! Islam is affecting global human rights, women's rights, and even US foreign policy. By downplaying that, you're not hating religions equally, you're just prioritizing convenience over consistency. Tell me, what do you think of the Jews?

I would argue the three main religions are all trying to change the course of this country on any given day currently. Case in point, read any news article about anything going on globally. I'm not sure what you hating against. You dont like religion if its pushed on you? What does that even mean? I haven't seen any Buddhist extremists blow anything up recently. I've seen the other three do so for the last 10 days....errr since explosives were a thing. Do you hate Buddhists? Sikhs? Mandaeism? Druze Faith? Tenrikyo? Yazidism? Satanism?

Be it known, there is only one true religion...

It depends on if you believe a book that can be found in the fiction section at Costco

Again, I’m not so sure where I typed hate, so you’re inserting words to fit your narrative that one religion is better than another. My post was clear and concise about religion as a whole being the cause for more deaths than anything else in history.

Consistently only one religion keeps sending surrogates to knock on my door and recruit me by talking about their book. Ironic how they’re trying to promote literacy with their book, but simultaneously illiterate when it comes to the no soliciting sign next to the doorbell.

You be live here, right? Who cares about other countries and their religion. We care about inside America because we live here. And since 2016, the Christian sharia has really taken off.

[insert Jeopardy wrong answer sound]

The group with an old book, plus a new book, some other scriptures, and wants to have their list of ten laws posted in public schools.
“I’ve always said that I don’t respect people who don’t proselytize. I don’t respect that at all. If you believe that there’s a heaven and a hell, and people could be going to hell or not getting eternal life, and you think that it’s not really worth telling them this because it would make it socially awkward—and atheists who think people shouldn’t proselytize and who say just leave me along and keep your religion to yourself—how much do you have to hate somebody to not proselytize? How much do you have to hate somebody to believe everlasting life is possible and not tell them that?

“I mean, if I believed, beyond the shadow of a doubt, that a truck was coming at you, and you didn’t believe that truck was bearing down on you, there is a certain point where I tackle you. And this is more important than that.”

Cool.

Meanwhile, there is an active shooter at Temple Israel in West Bloomfield, MI. I'm sure it is related to the Pistons hosting the 76ers tonight, and probably just coincidence to current events.

I guess we will have to wait and see which group did the shootin'.
