United Nosewheel goes *pow*

You think that’s bad, there’s guys filing for state unemployment after telling the state they were fired due to age and getting it.

Not that I doubt you, but can you provide a verifiable source?

Again, as I said with reference to Captain Ste... whatever his moniker is, as if he didn't know there was an age limit when they started this career.

My entire company union forum and Facebook groups actually giving each other advice on how to do it. Source is me cringing as I read them say “it’s my tax dollars anyway!”

There are only a few things that piss me off more than this.

People walking around with 100% disability, first class medical, and flying making mid six figures along with it; while someone with any number of internal ailments that started after having destroyed bunkers unknowingly containing chemical weapons and the results now killing them and medical bills bankrupting them, have their claims deemed “not service related”.

So, there I was in the Kennedy crew room, listening to a guy with a HONOR • COURAGE • COMMITMENT lanyard tell me about how he was going to be recalled to the active service because of his disability finding versus what he told the FAA…

The State of Pennsylvania allows(ed) this. A lot of USAir guys would change their base to PHL right before their retirement just to take advantage of that.

I really wish we had clear pictures of the wheel that went rogue. I look at the picture of the NLG and almost everything except the wheel/tire assembly is still installed. I’m not trying to point fingers and obviously this was due to a very rough landing but I’m just curious how the wheel failed.

I still have yet to go see the VA about disability or whatever happens when you leave active duty.....that was 6 years ago. I guess if those guys want to scam the government, I can't do anything to stop them or the cottage industry that has popped up to support them. But I can also not participate.

My dad retired in 1989. He just applied for disability benefits about six months back. I asked him many years ago why he hadn’t applied and he always said there were others that needed it more than he did. And this is a dude that can barely walk now because his back is so messed up from his Martin-Baker experience. My mom finally convinced him to apply.

Speaking of MB, last time I was home he showed me his tie club certificate.

I've heard stories of guys claiming a disability and that causing issues with a medical or getting certain jobs.

Awesome letter. He was member number 6013 in 1967. Wonder if that was a random number or sequential.

is this the venn diagram with vets collecting 100% disability with just the right injuries to keep a first class medical and a half million dollar salary
There are few things in life that trigger me, but the 100% DV scam is one of them. I think 1/2 of the folks I flew with are 100% because of "anxiety" or "PTSD" or whatever and well...I was there with 'em and well...•. I have a LOT more to say about it, but I will keep it to myself.
