Taking the family up to Snowshoe for skiing on Friday and hopefully returning on Monday. My two vehicle options are my 4WD 4Runner or my wife's AWD Outback. What says you?

Sounds good. I am the biggest ERCOT/Gridd skeptic in Texas but I really have a hunch it will be okay. If the freezing rain is heavy that is where the problems come in - particularly Austin and SA - because the trees never really lose their leaves and the utilities are not the best about trimming. I predict lots of power loss but it'll be snapped trees and not a grid issue. Act of God vs Act of corrupt legislature.
I see no reason to predict doom at this point, but I do recommend preparing for it. I have dogs, do they taste like chicken or pork?

Yes. If at any point you find yourself unsure of your progression to your desired destination do yourself and your family a favor and just stop and get a room. The weather nerds are masturbating predicting the possible apocalypse and they might be be right. Or they're wrong, they don't care as long as they can scare you.

Has anyone gotten an email or some kind of notification from their company about this story? Just curious… past life (9E) we always got a message when there was a possible irop in any base. I’m sure DL is the same way. Just wondering what other shops are doing?

In true fashion Saturday will roll around and the powers that be will act like they don’t know a snow storm was coming through a particular cargo company’s largest sort location.

Just “we’re monitoring the situation” type emails.

IMO it will be a close fight between AA, Delta, and SWA.

Delta only has one hub getting hit but it is the largest of the hubs. I also feel there could be some shenanigans that will occur with negotiation season starting. You already see it with management blaming last month's issues on the pilot contract.

AA and SWA have multiple hubs getting hit sequentially. DTW, CLT, DCA for AA and DAL, BNA, ATL, and BWI for SWA.

Will be interested to watch. This is assuming I have electricity to watch the chaos unfold...
