Id always rather have the meltdown after Xmas than before, so it seems most did pretty good prior to Xmas. Hearing delta had alot of cancelations over the last couple of days.

Surprising that we didn’t melt down considering the weather all up and down the west coast.

I was surprised at how dead it was today. Normally the Xmas break time is busy af. I don’t know if it’s just a EWR thing cause maybe they’re restricting it still or people are afraid of that airport now or a broader sign of the economy but I’ve never seen it this dead this time of year.

The short term parking lot I use was barely over 50% full when I left on Dec 23 for my trips. Never seen it that empty a couple days before Xmas. Things haven’t seen as packed as usual so far this year while working either.

Same here, everywhere I’ve been is no busier than a normal weekend travel day. I’ll be surprised if the travel numbers this Xmas are rosy.

Which reminds me, @Cherokee_Cruiser did you fly into EWR this morning around 0645 local? Had an Alaska complaining a fix wasn’t on his flight plan. It was the IAF.

I always load the approach from PATRN for 22L or KILMA for 04R. I didn’t even look these up, I do EWR so much it’s memorized.

No. Usually TEB is absolutely jammed this time of year with all the rich folks flying south or to ski on Christmas break and all the jets flying in to pick them up.

The last I heard they should be backup early summer. Talking to a UPS pilot I ran into at dinner he said the company is not making it easy for the MD11 pilots. They are requiring them to commute to base and sit reserve X days a month. Don't think he was BSing me. Anyone hear similar?
