I begged the barista for a latte at 0555. She didn’t even say they don’t open until 0600. She just said “no”. Van ride is at 0600. Same thing in the Orlando short hotel as well.

Where do you guys stay in TPA? I might be able to offer some more per diem friendly alternatives.

The longer stay one is (shocker) a bit of a drive. But i had some awesome happy hour/AARP/seniors hours dozen oysters, a couple great FL beers, and a grilled mahi sandwich like 3 blocks down the main drag. And I found coffee the next morning. These guys need to walk around more :)

The short stay is pretty limited. Plus we barely beat a thunderstorm so it was dumping rain by “downstairs in 10”. Normally I’m all about a wander, let’s coordinate a long Newark and get some pizza at Johnny Pepperonis and take the bus to the city, I can get you into the AMNH free on my membership (I’m 0 for 2 on captains taking me up on that offer, I probably sound way too much like a on the spectrum dinosaur kid when I start talking about it)

Our uniforms were designed by people who didn’t think women could be captains….

Ok, to be fair they didn’t but they though it wasn’t worth making uniforms for them because there’s so few of them and the company’s solution was for us to just wear FO blazers, which is actually worse.
