I went to elementary school with one son of the guy that played Twiki. Nice kid but once everyone found out who his dad was he got very sick of hearing "Bidi-Bidi-Bidi" all the time at school. Kids are mean. This was when the show was still on the air.

The kids dad didn't do the voice, he wore the costume on the show. Probably one of the reasons why it bothered him so much.

They probably know Birdperson from Rick and Morty… but probably don’t know that the character is a riff on Hawk from Buck Rodgers.

It’s sad. I was just talking to a friend today about this. That whole generation is about to start leaving us. All the people I grew up watching.

I remember as a kid being annoyed at the whole Searcher arc episodes, even though I was rooting for the telepathic midgets (yes, this was an actual episode) trying to undress Erin Grey.

Princess Ardala defined a lot of my formative years. Probably why my first marriage imploded.

There was an attempt to do the whole Buck Rodgers thing again, like 10-15 years ago. They were going to have the whole story more true to the original and set in the post WW1 era. They did a pilot for it, in a nice throw back the had Gil & Erin Grey as Bucks parents. Didn't go anywhere sadly.
