We have company provided spinners, a couple days ago I forgot to lay them down and a Citation scooted them across the ramp.I vow to never own a spinner suitcase.![]()
Hopefully into a ditch where they belong. @scooter2525We have company provided spinners, a couple days ago I forgot to lay them down and a Citation scooted them across the ramp.
That's my big fear. Especially since ours sit on the ramp a lot waiting to be put in the bulk area in the belly. We have company provided spinners, a couple days ago I forgot to lay them down and a Citation scooted them across the ramp.
Dude. I haven’t had a spinner in like, a decade. Dude! I can’t believe it’s been that long!Hopefully into a ditch where they belong. @scooter2525

I would say almost half the captains I fly with use the ProFlight and have nothing but good to say about it, provided you can get ear tips that fit properly.Has anybody gone from Clarity Aloft to Bose Proflight in a 737?
The company wants to buy me a new headset and I can't find anything I like.
I owned a Proflight for 2 weeks and sent it back because I hated the ear buds.Has anybody gone from Clarity Aloft to Bose Proflight in a 737?

Audiologists are a thing. They can make molds. I had some made for some speciality earbuds long ago, in fact.I would say almost half the captains I fly with use the ProFlight and have nothing but good to say about it, provided you can get ear tips that fit properly.
These flight bags are so expensive. I feel like they should give us a 30 day money back guarantee in case they don't work.
I don't have access to anything at DFWIsn’t there still a crew outfitters luggage store downstairs in DFW? You could check out in person before ordering.

No such luck.
I was anti carrying vest initially. At the previous airline we only had to wear them on intl walk arounds and had one hung up in the cockpit for such occasions. Then the new overlords determined it was required everywhere and issued one to each pilot to bring. In the end I think I prefer this because it does feel a bit more sanitary, and I do think walking out on the ramp is one of the more dangerous parts of the job. I've been assimilated.oh, I also like being able to stuff the uniform cardigan into the bag, and we have to carry our own safety vests. I don’t object to wearing the vest, but why the company decided on issuing them to the pilots vs stocking the coat closets and/or jetbridges I have no idea.
You never go to CVG? The location there isn't in a secure area. It's just in the terminal. No such luck.
It really is.I do think walking out on the ramp is one of the more dangerous parts of the job. I've been assimilated.
I honestly wouldn’t worry too much about it. Plenty of people rocking backpacks.I'm surprised your FOM doesn't prohibit it.
Our new overlords don't allow the use of a backpack (even when clipped to luggage) so I've got to replace my "flight case" with something else. Which is unfortunate (but apparently very on brand) because my backpack flight case doubled as a get out and do stuff/photography gear bag on long overnights.
Interesting that's a thing.I honestly wouldn’t worry too much about it. Plenty of people rocking backpacks.
