Interesting? NO Cryptocurrency discussions?

Here's the place where I thought well informed aviators would discuss their financial future vice the transactional activities related to aviation?

Plenty of financial activity related to the future of our financial system unnoticed by professional aviatiors?

Yes. . .specifically, I'm talking Bitcoin 2.0.

<Yes, I'm being "cryptic."> It's a data collecting probe.

Still. The greatest wealth transition since The Great Depression and The New Deal and still "crickets."

Main stream media is superb at censuring anything about money. . .indeed.

I haven’t censured anything about cryptocurrencies.

Think of a forum like the free market. If there was a market for it, people would be talking about it, but I think that most pilots feel talking about money with other pilots brings out “the weird”.

My personal take on it, if you're trying to get in now, you're about a decade late. I had a friend back then telling me to start mining or whatever. I said "cool story bro" and moved on. He probably has lots of money now. I won't get anywhere near that return trying to "invest". I don't "invest" in the US dollar either expecting to get rich. If it becomes a default currency, I guess I have misgivings since I don't trust its security. But that's about it as far as my interest goes. I do tend to believe the media predictions of a crypto bubble, much like AI. We shall see

I have a friend that made a boatload of money in crypto about a decade ago. Now 100x the people are trying to do what he did on a bet BUT by using 'science'.

. . .and that might be the "legacy thoughts/belief system" of many indeed. Kinda like in the conventional workplace where people do not talk about what their salaries are for fear of what ultimately will become a "comparison."

Yes, we ARE on a ?social" media platform.

Even yesterday, Donnie and main stream media were ranting about fixing the "crime problem" in Washington DC, yet SOCIAL media and the financial channels were discussing cryptocurrency. As far as what "thread" my post is located, given the fact stocks/401ks/ETFs and retirement/investment funds will soon transition onto the blockchain, this might be not longer perceived as off-nominal but main stream conversation related to global tokenization of digital assets over the blockchain. I do see it on Bloomberg and CNBC. Even Maria is chatting it up with Brad.

Just a thought.

Just like anything else. By the time normal people are talking about it and interested, it's probably far too late to profit. Ask any modern day "influencer" who is trying to build a channel/brand/whatever the hell they want to call that nonsense. Not saying there isn't any money to be made, but it's not 10-15 years ago when people were mining bitcoin

Agree wholeheartedly. We do live <have ALWAYS lived> in this instant gratification/transactional, short term thinking culture. Let me focus on the near term while someone else thinks strategically. Very few occasions where people actually perform a financial pulse check of their long term financial security. . .until it's too late. Probably 99% do not.

It's about global tokenization of digital assets. It's coming. Blockchain technology coupled with AI.

Make, and support, the thread you’d like to participate in, that’s really my only suggestion.

I found the discussion here regarding finances hasn’t rendered any good alpha.

Occasionally I’ll drop hints about currency debasement. Not even crypto specific. Just owning assets and not holding onto a melting ice cube.

I’ll just leave this here:

Agreed. I am always eager to listen to and smile when people of equal to or greater than creative intelligence than myself validate my perspective.

Thank you.

The cult like following crypto has is enough to keep me away.

Almost the same feels as the meme stock generation.

I screwed around with •coins for a while, made a little money, and punched out. It was a lottery ticket and nothing more.

If I want riskier investments I’d much rather invest in emerging markets rather than a commodity every bank/government seems to hate and the value tanks every time legislation happens to go against it (which is a lot).

I'm confused. You chose the world "cult" to describe crypto following. Does this include the federal governments of most major nations which includes BRICS, the EU, and China. . .NEVERMIND the United States government. {Yes, the NSA is collaborating with cryptocurrency} Fact.

How about major financial entities like Blackrock, Amazon, Donnie signed bills for strategic crypto reserves. States are developing their own "reserves" that include crypto. 401ks, stock ETFs are all backed by crypto.

Something about these entities FOR ME wouldn't be labeled cult "like" behavior.

Do you CrossFit? You seem like you CrossFit.

You do you. I just don’t understand the “cult” like mentality of trying to get others into investing like you are.
