To my untrained eye it looked like a T-6 with a few extra seats. I didn't actually know what I was looking at but I knew I liked it.

Seen a few of them, mostly at OSH or SnF.

They are a blessed union of engineering a pure art. Like a virtuoso playing alone, it is done only for the sake of the designers own enjoyment.
 
The VFR arrival is actually very simple. Get in line, go to the runway they tell you, land on the spot they tell you.
Agreed. The scariest part about the arrival the year I went in (pre- ADS-B) was the entry fix to the arrival before the procedure even starts, because you know everyone is converging at the same point +/- several hundred feet and could be in your blind spots. So I was nervously lifting the wings (high wing) and small clearing turns and just generally trying my best not to die before ever getting to rock my wings at Fisk. :)

Now with mandatory ads-b it seems a lot more chill with the better traffic SA, and I noticed people calling out the bad actors that would cut them off or blow through the procedure by tail number on freq, which is hilarious.

Someone needs to permanently ground him before he kills someone. My grandpa had a Bonanza when I was a kid and he self grounded himself after realizing he didn't have the cognitive ability anymore. There's no shame in it. What is shameful is killing someone(or yourself) because you're too proud or stubborn to admit you don't have it anymore.
Not to sound like myself yet again, but the FAA’s far too busy ensuring anyone with a First Class does not now feel and has never been big sad than to do actual enforcement actions against GA people.

I mean we just keep waiting for Jerry—WHO PUTS HIS CARELESS AND RECKLESS OPERATION ON YOUTUBE FFS—to get a visit from a FSDO. And we keep waiting, and keep waiting, and keep waiting.
 
Thanks to all for the Spartan Executive pics. Concur on its beauty. Interests me that Spartan made their own airplanes, and Parks also, but Embry-Riddle did not. Which leads to the question:Why does Embry-Riddle suck? What say you @derg @MikeD and other Riddlers?

Although the Executive is the best known Spartan product, the also previously made products like this C-3 (this example of which I have numerous rides in, and when old enough actual logged dual):

And Parks made the P2 and pictured P2A. The pictured airplane had an engine failure in the late 40's when my grandpa was instructing the newest owner of it. This plane went on to be author Richard Bach's airplane and featured in some of his books. Eventually it was restored by a guy in TN named Wayne Amelang who did a beautiful job. I have numerous rides in this machine but no "time".
