Yes, KBUR is building a new terminal. It is wild to me that they flew to SLE. I thought I saw a 737 taking off outta there once, guess that was them. Figured it was some MikeD kinda DoD contract bird. Also, I wonder who will take the BUR "gates"? Another question, are they (KBUR that is) building a new terminal there? Is that over where Lockheed Skunk Works used to be?
Avelo is currently subject to lots of protestors for choosing to operate deportation charters. It is wild to me that they flew to SLE. I thought I saw a 737 taking off outta there once, guess that was them.

Politics and morality aside, it's easy to scab, join an insurrection, support anarchy, etc.I have a friend at U whose GF is a FA for the deportation flights.
Politics and morality aside, it’s a pretty easy gig as they’re just there for evacuation purposes and don’t do a service.

I'd call out sick or find a way out that's for damn sure. There is a line, one must choose I reckon. You quitting your airline if they pick up any of these flights? It’s easy to throw stones when it’s not your career.
Scabs are scabs. Don’t try and compare the two as it lessens the severity of actually scabbing.
I took plenty of military cargo into countries that were used to kill people in conflicts I didn’t believe in. I’m sure I was suppose to quit too…

Yeah. *That* Eastern.
Generally not a good thing when you're in ProPublica, no.Some wild stuff going on at GlobalX apparently
May it be only four years (anyway).I mean, that's easy enough to say when it isn't a choice you are actually faced with. Maybe there is a way, but calling out sick for 4 years straight? I dunno if thats a thing.

Would you say the same for a strike? A person's gotta have principles. In this particular case, this job in questions is reasonably portable.I mean, that's easy enough to say when it isn't a choice you are actually faced with. Exactly, I know I've flown deportees over the years but those were during the days before mass round up and sending folks to places sans due process. An entire plane full? C'mon.May it be only four years (anyway).
Anyway, we do fly minimum-risk deportees around here. I probably (almost certainly, in fact, now that I think about it) have myself.
I'm oddly pretty indifferent about it, but we aren't running planes full, merely one-offs. I am not indifferent towards the deplorable actions of the Congress and the wildly lawless actions of the Executive on these matters. Meh.
The self righteousness in pilots? Please. If Delta offered a green slip for a deportation flight out of Atlanta, y’all would be tripping over yourselves to pick it up.![]()
