PSA CRJ-700 AA midair collision

Looking behind that ignore curtain has never been worth it. Not once. You wouldn't have put it up if you didn't already know that.
You’re right.

Mea culpa all the way down.

Sometimes it is difficult to be the change you want to see in the world

I don't think there is much style or elegenace to that. Instead of a ban, just default every account here to ignore the same list. Make it an "Opt In."

I'm happy to write the whole single SQL statement to do it.
I would pay a not-insignificant sum for that to happen.

With a bonus if an AI could reconstruct a thread for me WITHOUT the ignored content so that I wouldn’t be reminded that the Master Ban List existed at all.

AI not required for that one either, just more clever SQL...

You forgot the “No offense, but I prefer input from non-DEI hires…” commentary.
Having a discussion about why this place isn’t the same. And how people have left and one of the biggest culprits of that makes some smart ass comment. This is why nobody likes you and half the members on here have you on ignore. I can assure you that didn’t start Nov 5th.

I'm happy enough to have people who are Wrong about a lot of stuff around. Because it turns out I've been Wrong about some things, too. Don't tell.

People who are deliberately provocative to no real end, AND contribute no significant knowledge the rest of us don't have (I believe you kids call them "trolls")? Well, I'm told that the toilet always spins counter-clockwise in the Northern Hemisphere...

Edit: That said, it's Derg's Living Room, he can suffer whoever he likes. I'll just take me shoes off...

That literally doesn’t fit within the context of the discussion.

It’s us all having a conversation about a topic and a cat jumps atop the table and says “Meow”.

It sorta does in the new age. You wrote about people online who’d dismiss you, despite your quals, experience, job title, checkairman, etc. Online? In the new Trump age? Absolutely there’s people who will think that.

Al Haynes was on here? For real?

Yes. In fact, he spoke at a NJC back in 2007 (at least I think that was the year).

One of the kindest, most chill guys you’d ever meet. Wanted no speaking fees, just wanted us to donate to a charity. His presentation sticks with me, especially when he broke down when one of the survivors stood up with the child that wouldn’t have been born if he just gave up. The play-by-play of what went down was gripping.

That was an absolutely epic NJC.

Man would I have loved to have been there! The man has been my hero for decades! My heart hurt for a while when he passed (Denny, too).

I never got to see him speak in public. It's a big regret of mine. But man, I think I've watched his talk at Edwards 50 times on YouTube. I definitely make sure to watch it every July 19th.
