FedEx engine fire on departure EWR

Tower did a great job working the airport on 29 and getting flights on/off. Kept it tight

My flight had a 60 min taxi which wasn't too bad considering
 
Not my pic but if this is the one that bird sure had sharp feathers...

I'm just guessing but I suspect the majority of that blade damage was caused as the bird didn't quite make it through the fan and went for a wild posthumous circular ride for a few seconds and gave freedom to the apparently missing acoustic material just in front of the fan and that errant debris is likely what tore up the blades. Just spitballing though, I have no idea what happened.

I defer to your knowledge on these things (and that makes a lot of sense). I was thinking maybe a drone. Whatever it was, holy crap.
