New type rating!

I have about 450 hours in a Praetor 600 and 100 in a Praetor 500. I am also current in the Phenom 300 with 2200 hours in type.

The Praetor 500 is underpowered, the 600 is not.

Let me know what questions you have.

How do you like it? Did you fly it at the same time as another type?
The 500 was a good little airplane as long as you stayed inside the boundaries. It’s not to be tested. Especially on wet runways. As long as the principle in the back understands that sometimes conditions can n prevent mission accomplishment then all is well. There braked are it’s Achilles heel. Also it has no spoilers.

I did fly another type while flying the EMB500 but they aren’t comparable.

Warddog, I can’t tell from your comments, but it sure looks like you are referring to the Phenom 100 not the Legacy/Praetor.

The performance of the EMB545/EMB550 is great, TR’s make contaminated runways less of an issue, the brake system is great (like the 300) and does not have the issues that the 100 does.

The OP is referring to a Legacy/Praetor - the EMB545/550 series, not to be confused with the Phenom 100, which is and EMB500 type rating. The Phenom 300 is an EMB505.

Yeah I know. In my congrats post up there I said I only had time in the EMB500.

Sorry for the confusion.

Epic cockpit for a midsize biz jet.
