I don't think it's unheard of for a ULCC to hire people with 0 dispatch experience. Obviously not as often as regionals, but I know Frontier and Spirit have. Allegiant probably has as well.

I feel like they probably hire 0 dispatch experience for internal candidates. External, probably much less likely.

I know since they raised the pay they are looking for more experience. You never know, put the application in .

The application states a minimum of 2 years 121 dispatch experience preferred. There should be enough candidates out there that realistically make this required.

IDK the current interview status, but believe we are now hiring up to two more to cover attrition.

No not yet, sometime at the end of next year it is supposed to start.

As of today interviews have not started, but will start soon-ish. Class start date pegged for 21OCT24.

If they have started, they have started. The communication sent to dispatch made it sound like no interviews had started yet.

The communication came out this week. Again, it is my interpretation of reading it that made it sound like interviews hadn't started.

Thank you! I put an application in. Graduated with B.S. in Air Traffic Control from UND. Worked at a regional, Endeavor Air, Delta Subsidiary, from 2016-2021; training scheduling, Aircraft Dispatch, and a year as a sector supervisor. I hope to get this opportunity!
