Not exactly. Two is two TOO many. Sad. I really REALLY hope this was a "one off" and nothing systemic.
My condolences go out to the family, friends and associates of those whose lives were lost.

My guess is they won’t find the tail rotor gear box (or maybe the boom) at the impact sight. Very little could go so bad, so fast that a radio call couldn’t be made; rotational forces is one……

I remember back when Careflite lost a bird back in 08 (?) the rotor was in one place, the tail boom in another, and the fuselage in yet another spot.
One bad bolt on the pitch link and the rotor ripped itself right off the aircraft.

I would say either full loss of the tail rotor, or some sort of massive failure of the driveline causing it to buckle and separate
There are few situations short of severe combat damage that would result in a fly able helicopter coming down in that manner.
