Next Up in the RLA Conga Line

What base do you think would be best at a whale hunt? None have any corporate knowledge, I don't think (though maybe PDX, since Oregonians blasted a beached whale to the moon about 60 years ago with dynamite). This seems to be the only way we can really level the playing field. 5 teams assemble representing each base, and enter the Salish sea in the spring time in dry suits. Dirty tricks are of course encouraged, like murder. The fall/winter prior can be devoted to hand crafting the best weapons for the hunt.

Whale hunt?

Sounds so ANCy

I'm personally curious because, from what I understand, the vote to authorize the AIP was 9-8 (this could be inaccurate) and the TA passed 14-3. Reading the various LEC updates on the AIP sure made it sound like there was a good split on the decisions leading to the AIP. I'm curious why votes changed and if any initial "yes" votes turned into one of the "no" votes.

I honestly think such information could help with making a decision. It could also just be drama. I imagine future LEC communications will elucidate further on the vote.

Fair. I just non rev’d to San Diego today with Mrs AMG, and sat next to a guy from near ANC who was showing me videos of him on his snow machine (I’d never heard this term, it is the racing/ATV version of a snowmobile). In one of them, he has 2 Caribou strapped to the back, while he is trying to balance by hanging off the side due to a front ski having been ripped off. He was not moving slowly by any means. He also said that his 500# rig has 230 BHP and 18 lbs of boost. Apparently it can be tuned, on the factory motor, to 600+ HP. Same Swedish engine as those rotrax LSAs or whatever they are classified as. That is insanity power/weight. It is a whole different world up there, I am learning.

It's an awesome world. I miss it. Especially snowmachines.

Snowmachine is a snowmobile for the L48ers. It doesn’t have to be a special racing set up. Or if you’re from Meth-Su Valley area “sled” is an acceptable term. I avoid that one though because a sled is either used to fly triple mailers of pop to villages or haul wood/dead animals BEHIND the snowmachine.
We're hiring wink wink
I’ve tried! Weren’t there even PDX vacancies in the last bid?

Holy hell. Some dude on the 765…. Sorry 767-400 credited 1020 hours of credit last month. He doesn’t have to work the rest of the year. Thank god for PB not being touched in the new contract.

Dude you’re stalking someone’s pay! Even my game isn’t that impressive. ;)

Ok, seriously: How does one do that? Is this a retiree that is cashing out vacation, sick, etc, all in one month of January? Otherwise how do you credit that much?

Damn, his wife/husband is going to have to find other ways to meet up with his/her side lover now that husband/wife is home for the rest of the year. Lol.

Ha! If only it were that easy. All this dude did was reset the bar and he will spend the rest of his career trying to beat that ‘perfect game of Pac Man.’ The spouse and the person on the side will have more opportunities now.

Nope not a retiree. He’s actually an FO. Just cashed out payback days. Just gaming the system.

Wasn’t stalking. Just grabbed a screen shot from out FB page. It will take years to get to your level of stalking

Posting one’s pay credit statement on Facebook? Yuck. I mean, Oh Delta.

No clue what payback days are, how they’re earned, but that has to be a world record for one month credit! o_O

Whats a payback day?

Essentially if you pick up overtime on a day off as a reserve and you have no long call days available, they give you a PB day. Can use that to drop a trip with pay. Supposedly this dude had around 70 PB days that he used last month. Drop a trip, buddy picks it up, you get credited with a PB day and you pickup said dropped trip back from your buddy. Repeat until you exhaust all your PB days. Time consuming but very lucrative as you can see.

It’s public now, so you don’t have to worry about the MRDSCC having any contract improvements any time soon. Our union put out an email basically saying there doesn’t seem to be any desire from management to stop the attrition, so look elsewhere for a job, if you can and desire to.

Y’all enjoy those improvements…we’ll be over here “Connie-ing”.
