Oh JetBlue

Speaking of Oh JetBlue, this is what I parked next to in the LAX employee lot…

So, my airport car is a '99 Accord, champagne colored. Tan interior. Given to me by the daughter of a ex-AA pilot who was hired in the 50's and has sadly passed away. I'm still trying to decide on a perfect vanity plate... I still don't know why people drive nice cars to that lot. I've seen dudes hop the fence to steal radios in the old east lot across the street. No one will waste their time on my airport car with it's $85 Best Buy special radio.

Anyhoo, this is the best vanity plate I ever spotted in the wild in the West Lot:

I’m sorry I don’t get this either. :)

I’m not gonna get a Ferrari to park in the lot, but I ain’t driving no ‘99 Accord as a CA either :p

What’s the red flag?
In a word, less trustworthy. That doesn’t make them a horrible person or anything. Just that we probably don’t value as many of the same things.

They’re welcome to make a similar judgement based my haircut.

This might be the dumbest thing I've read on the internet today. You must be a blast at a party, as long as everyone agrees with you. Get over it and you'll have a much fuller life.

Yah, pretty much like this guy.

Seems like a pro airport car would be one that can seamlessly transition into an oldest child’s first car. Them require them to chauffeur you to/from work like a king.

I would like to see your browser history!

In all honesty, with such a variety of plates in CA, why someone would choose the vintage Studebaker-loooking option is odd.

I can go with that. I was so disappointed that was the chosen tag over they yellow and blue from the 70’s and 80’s.

I agree that personalized plates can be odd, but sometimes they make sense. The blue plates are still available but they would look as dumb on a modern car as the white plates do on a classic. Thankfully the CA DMV does offer options, if you have a Model A you can have a black plate, if you have a '77 Bronco you can have a blue plate. If you have a '69 model car you can have 69 on your plate if you can figure out some combination of numbers and letters that aren't already issued. I've had one personalized plate, it was on my '67 Mini Cooper S, it said MNICPRS. Sadly that was before they offered all of the color options so it was just a plain white plate. I did have one guy who had no idea what the car was ask if I was some sort of CPR training service provider, I just smiled and we had a short chat.

My "airport car" is my 20 yr old merc wagon. It has 146k miles on the clock and runs perfectly. Interior, in spite of children, is tight and full heated leather. Exterior is fine too, but if it were dinged I would never notice. I will daily drive that car until infinity and beyond. Who gives a F? Not trying to subject any other vehicle (least of which, the M3), to the catalytic converter thieves in seatac/north lot. But joke would be on them with the M.......straight pipes bitches.

I'm confused. If your wagon is the family car but you park it at the airport when you're away what does your family use when you're absent? Not trying to bust balls, just wondering.

Cats are only getting yoinked by the meth zombies at short term. The employee lot has a lot of super sketchy stuff going on around it but never in it.
