I thought IAH was going to be a disaster because usually when we get into the 20’s we still have enough moisture to get pretty good frost…but this was such a powerful front that it blasted any humid air well offshore.

Fun fact—power demand on the TX grid last night was apparently about what it would have been in 2021 had they not cut power to millions—it stayed online this time because of a ton of extra wind power.
