The plane, a 1974 Beechcraft King Air E90
The plane landed in the car lot of Pioneer Buick GMC automobile dealership on Pike Street in Marietta.
There is substantial damage to a number of cars on the car lot.
I couldn't tell if that was fire or a landing light or something.Well, yeah, also appears to be on fire and missing a wing, so...
An old king air and a Buick dealership.
Aside from the tragic loss of life, there was probably $70 of damage here.
We should thank them for taking the Buicks out of circulation.
(cue the ones who thinks they've made a good car in the past 30 years)
I wasn't sure either but then I noticed what I'm pretty sure is smoke.I couldn't tell if that was fire or a landing light or something.

Looking again, you may be right. In either case something was or had become wrong with the aircraft before it hit the ground, imho.I don’t think that’s smoke I think it’s vapor trails off the wing tip

Vapor, smoke or fuel - it's anyone's guess at this point.I don’t think that’s smoke I think it’s vapor trails off the wing tip
I somewhat agree with you. It's hard to say that without knowing the aircrafts mx history, or shops that performed the phase checks.Fifty year old KA, what could go wrong?

With that said, the E model, in my opinion is one of the better 90 series models. It carries more fuel and with the Blackhawk conversion is a real performer.
