I got 6.

4 they provided, those are A Cut Above.

2 I had to buy, company store option was M&H.

(Not a fan of M&H)

I do mostly day trips and 2 day trips, and 3 days.

Could do 6 day trips, 6 separate shirts, laundry after. Could do three 2-day trips. Or could do two three-day trips.

Then laundry time.
Hey, props to your company for providing A Cut Above. That’s at least a nice perk you guys have.

Nah.

It was more like, we ain’t paying you to buy AS uniforms. But you can’t wear your VX black shirts anymore. So here’s a set of wings, epaulettes, and 4 A Cut Above shirts.

We’re “officially” still approved to wear the black VX pilot pants and the black leather jacket or soft shell jacket from VX. I don’t want to spend $500-600 on the complete AS uniform only to have a uniform change (which is supposed to come with a new TA) and have to dump my clothes to donation.

At my previous carrier, 1 per day of my trip. At my ACMI, 1 for every 3 to 4 days. It helps when I can escape from my uniform during cruise.

1 shirt per 4 day. 3 changes of the undershirt. That’s what the undershirt is for, to trap all that funk and stop it from getting on the white Pilot shirt. Try something bamboo and wicking. It’s not nasty, it’s why it’s called an undershirt!

Crazy times but I agree with @Cherokee_Cruiser. I pack a shirt for each day of flying. I like that fresh feeling of a laundered shirt to start the day. My question to you 1 shirt per trip folks, do you not get ring-around-the-collar? Also are you washing your shirt in the sink every time in the hotel?

No. A Cut Above shirts have a wonderful collar protector.

And no. Just no, man. If you wear a t-shirt, if there are no stains, and if the shirt doesn't smell, why would you?

I bring a white undershirt for each day but usually just one pilot shirt. Unless I’m doing a longer than 4 day trip. We have 6 day trips and for those I bring a second shirt.

Nasty.

May as well wear one underwear for 4 days. Pants go on top of it. Who’ll know?

Brotherman. You’re tilting at windmills. 4/5 of the pilots you’ve flown with have been wearing one or two shirts per trip. In the same tiny cockpit as you. Just a foot or two away. For hours and hours….

I can tell. That small black stain they got on the back from doing the walk around is still there the next day.

Not all guys though.
