Narrative:
Denver Air Connection flight 4210, a Swearingen SA227-DC Metro 23, made a nosegear-up landing at Denver International Airport (DEN), Colorado, USA.
The aircraft had departed from runway 25 at DEN at 18:04 UTC. Shortly after takeoff the flight informed Denver Tower that they had a hydraulic pressure issue. After working the checklists the flight crew reported that they needed a long landing and that they were expecting a loss of nosegear stearing after landing.
It turned back and landed with the nosegear retracted on runway 16R at 18:29 UTC.

That is what happens when you pencil whip all of your maintenance. I bet they try to find a way to MEL it.

What is it with Denver and Merlins?

They do cool flying on the charter side, they pretty much end up all over the place. From tiny GA airports to the huge hubs. They're also the last scheduled passenger operator of the Metroliner in the US. Remind 19 people at a time how far we've come.

Are Garretts just that loud that you can’t tell if you’re in a convertible or not?
No. In the flight deck Garrett, Pratt, it doesn’t matter. What matters is where the props are in relation to you and how well the airframe blocks sound. The Garrett caravan was definitely quieter in overflight and subjectively quieter inside than the Pratt. I’m sure freighted out poopbox Metros have about as much sound insulation as toilet paper. At least the props are a ways behind the cockpit.
