Why do a Fly Over, when you can do a Fly In ?

Chinooks don’t.


As far as top cover, the Battalion Commander was in the lead ship so they are about as protected as they would ever be in this situation from long lasting repercussions.

Army would have a hard time raking the back seater over the coals for something the boss he works for was dismissed on.

Can we at least have a flyover for the Army-Navy game. Do they take turns between years. Apace's one year. F18 the next?

Same with the -53s if I remember right; the big ass helos don’t bother with the light helo stuff.

Always nice to have the boss in the lead in these. In fact, flyovers should be relegated to senior staff to do. :)
 
UPS had a pretty famous flyover at a NIFA event a few years ago. Both pilots got fired. It was total BS how that went down. FAA complained they got too low or something wasn't planned or something. Both pilots were management. The guy in the right seat I knew as a pretty good guy, for a manager. He once helped me try to fix a technical problem with IT but wasn't able to overcome the big brown firewall. The gal in the left seat was well liked by the pilot group, which is rare for brown management. Heard she sued and was able to work her way back, via the drone program, or something like that.

This is stupid, and thats being nice. Whats the upside to this? Drunk football fans cheering at a game? Whats the downside? Too many to list. This is just people using "patriotism" to scare off criticism of their idiotic risk taking.

Do you have a dumb idea and are scared of getting in trouble? Wave an American flag, you should be good to go.
