Not sure it's a good idea

Guys are makin me hungry....where was this steakhouse "on the 10" I visited 2 years ago stumblin around Tucson and on my way to the Pima Air Museum...the name...an old timey place

Steak and shake is a sit down place with servers. You don’t order at a register/counter.

Honestly, I’ve never seen the appeal of the place, or how it still even exists in the market place. OK food, but bad service and what must be a ridiculous amount of overhead for what they sell.

the Silver Saddle. Complete with 1970s flashy sign outside, some of the best steaks you’ll ever have.

Yeah. It’s Johnny rockets on downers. I used to think the food wasn’t too bad, but it’s gone downhill, and as mentioned, the service is abysmal.

My dad used to take me to the local steak and shake when I was a kid in SRQ - this was a long time ago and he really liked the chili, too. It formed my love of patty melts which I now make at home.

40 years later (Christ I’m old) I did some non-food related business with them and let’s just say that their operational practices reflect the customer experience too.

Thanks, Mike! I figured you'd be the "travel assistant" down in those parts....Exactly the place....funny stupid...i think i even have the receipt after the bride and i took two foreign exchange students there

Jack In The Box has acquired Del Taco.

I don't know what the implication will be because we don't have those here in God's Country, but if they want to trade a little paint with a Taco Bell then mazel tov.

I think Del Taco is better than Taco Bell. Jack in the Box is the big winner. Now they'll all make the same crappy food.

does this mean that Del Taco’s good tacos are going to be replaced by Jack in the Box’s subpar ones?

i like Del Taco.

I had Del Taco for a very unfortunate thanksgiving dinner once, and while it isn’t great, it’s always been better than what Taco Bell was and waaaay better than what Taco Bell has turned into.
