New Gig with the Bizjets

Hey all,

Accepted an offer to dispatch with CMH based Netjets. Specifically Nets themselves, not EJM. Looking for some insight from current and previous employees on their experiences there and what I can look forward to. Coming from a 121 regional. Looking forward to the new transition!

Congratulations!

Just curious, are they an actual aircraft dispatcher shop or flight followers? It’s for sure a great place. I have heard good things about them, up there with XOJET.

I don't have any experience with NetJets or part 135 operations but from what I've heard, don't expect it to be like your 121 regional. You don't share the same legal responsibilities with the PIC and you'll be asked to do a lot of behind-the-scenes stuff for the crew, such as finding hotels and transportation. If you're one of those dispatchers that act and work like they're servants and feel like they have to say yes to everything the PIC says, you will have little to no operational control.

This is false, many departments within Netjets take care of crew services! Dispatches work only the flights!

Hmm, I guess it really depends on the company? Ever since I heard these stories I thought part 135 was not where you would want to go.

Yup, it does depend on the company. For sure no supp 121 or 135 is the same. There are a few serious 121 supps that are being slept on right now. These key players are a much better option for the experience than a smaller regional. However not everyone sees it because of the supplemental name they carry ;)

They run the operation like a 121 operation. Dispatchers take care of certain types of aircraft Such as working the Gulfstreams or Falcons, for certain desks. Very good group of people. It is not 121 so you don't get flight benefits. The experience from working here is very good.

Thanks for the reply. Looking forward to getting started!
