Longest airport walk

Just did ATL T-E in the basement. 17 minutes, .8 miles. Data from watch. Anything domestic US longer?
10 years ago we sat for just under three hours hoping a line of thunderstorms would move through ATL so we could get to SDF. Every departure going west was shutdown. The line of storms was from NJ to the gulf coast of Florida. We ended up taxiing back to terminal E at 1:00am. It was such a crap show that all of the hotels in ATL were booked so our company had to get us a rental car to drive to our hotel 45 minutes away. We had to make the walk to catch the train to the rental car center. The problem was the train was shut down for the night and none of the people movers were running. That kinda sucked. We got to the hotel at 2:30am. Of course we got min rested so we had to be back at the 9:00. I got about 4 hours of sleep that night. Needless to say, I don't miss the old days before 117.

...just another contributing factor towards monied individuals choosing 91/135...

Come on...Ive made the walk from the ramp to the sliding doors at Signature in MSP. That can be brutal in the middle of winter.....

If you were properly monied you'd have your people pull your luxury snowmobile up to the airstairs...peasant.

ORD L Gates to the C Gates, just over a one mile walk. There are only 2 moving sidewalks on that walk between B and C terminals, So it's all leg power on that hike.

When I was commuting to MSP, it seemed every trip ended around 19:30 at the A gates and the last flight to LAX was around 20:00 and always out of F10 or F12. That was sporting.

DFW (can be a hike without using the train), IAH (North C to Terminal E), DEN, PHL (International to F is a hike I always did when I had long sits), LAX (pain in the ASS), CLT (new A concourse to E and this bad worst during arrival/departure banks of passengers).

When you had the chorizo breakfast burrito (extra spicy) with a large coffee, spent 15 minutes in holding then had to wait for a gate.

Sometimes it’s more about immediate necessity than pure distance ;)

Ah the ol fiber challenge.

During golf day...Brew a pot of coffee, eat a bowl of fiber one. Drink coffee, eat 2 cliff bars, drink the rest of the coffee. Pop a chew in and see if you can make it to the 9th hole..

No one carries flight bags anymore, so that option is off the table as well.

Honorable mention for JFK T4. Nothing like a gate change to B46 on the last leg to really put a smile on your face. Bonus points if the B side escalator to baggage claim is closed and you have to shlep over to the A side just to get out.

I’m glad I’m not the only one that immediately thought the tip of E concourse in CLT to anywhere else in the place.

This! For years we would book flights through CLT to EWN to see my wife’s family, and had to truck it from some high B gate to E-infinity with two kids and the accompanying strollers and whatnot to get to a delayed/cancelled DHC-8. It was the worst walk ever.
