Pilot Interview companies/services

Great feedback. The Emerald Coast story is something I know nothing about but it does sound scandalous and kinda reality TV show-esk lol

From what I gather though, it seems that EC is more for interview prep, so waiting a few weeks before using that service when you actually get an interview, but get someone like checked and set or aero crew or cage Marshall to get ones resume and airline apps in order first? Did I get that right?

Also, I had heard a while back that RST did run into some legal trouble because FedEx or DAL brought a case against Tito? Is that resolved or did that program get depleted?

What’s up with this James guy at Raven Careers Prep?

He completely trashed Frontier:

He just sent an email to his distro list that looks suspiciously like a CFIT escape maneuver. I think he’s generally pretty good at what he does, but his attempt to bring his services to the 121 space don’t seem to be going so wel.

I used ECIC for the interview prep for 2 major airlines (used it for the first one and then got another interview a few months later) I got hired by both so it definitely helped. I mean- the whole thing aside the only thing you see from Aaron are his videos he made like 10 years ago. When you do the seminars they are with current pilots and staff from airlines. I thought they were very helpful, and I would still recommend that product.
About a year before I used the interview prep (I got the prep about 1 month before I had the actual interview) I used Checked and Set for my resume cleanup. It really helped. I was going to use them for my airline app review but I got some bites before I pulled the trigger on that.

ECIC has airline specific top off prep that really helps as well. But Ive heard great things from Cage and Raven as well. So you'll find success wherever you turn.

I used Checked and Set with Charlie for my application review. He definitely caught some stuff which multiple sets of eyes didn't even catch so at least I knew my app was well polished and had been vetted properly.

I believe interview prep is a wash and dependent on you. I opted to skip the interview prep for 2 out of the big 4 carriers and was hired by both. If it helps garner some extra confidence in your interview, then definitely opt-in but I had multiple friends that went through programs and mentioned they weren't that much better off. I used my airline friends and family a lot instead to prepare.

RST is a no brainer if applicable in your interview.

To me, the ironic thing is he spends a significant portion of those audio and video lessons telling you to be your brand ambassador and don’t shoot yourself in the foot. Should have watched his own videos.
Sitting through ECIC as a single guy, no kids, listening to everyone ham on about their wives and children (to wives and sweethearts, may they never meet) and wondering when we’d proceed to the, you know, job part was really telling, as was them describing the interview at my current employer as a “freebie.” (IMS, about 40% of the people we interviewed that day were not given offers—doesn’t sound very freebie to me.) It was good panel prep, but honestly, I’d give my money to someone else, and that goes double now for the little social media nutty.

If you’re a reasonably personable individual with adequate experience (that is, you actually have some flying stories), you really just need an hour with Centerline or the like to dust the panel skills off, and maybe some touch-ups on how to sandpaper over any potential land mines in your background.

Hello everyone. I am trying to gather insight on what services are out there and which one should I join regarding these companies that help you prepare for an interview for a Major/LCC/Cargo carrier. My preference would be to find one company that can do everything, including resume review, interview prep, application process, test/jkt and whatever else i am forgetting, if that even exists.

I understand there are a lot out there and most do, for example, Resume/app review but you have to go to someone else for JKT. So I will list my preferred places (currently at a regional) and I will wait on your feedback to see which services to reach out to get a tailored approach in this process.

Primary: United, Delta and FedEx.
Second: SWA, jetBlue, Spirit, American, Frontier

I was a corporate recruiter once (non aviation). I was also a chief once.

If you want to PM me, I can ask you the questions you'll likely be asked. No charge. As many on this board have said, it's not that hard. Just answer honestly. Be yourself.

If don't, or you're not, you may still get a job, but there's a high probability you won't like your work life.

I’m literally going to make millions of dollars more at my current gig vs my old regional CA job. While some prep companies are better than others, it’s insanely foolish to not shell out a few hundred bucks to prep with a well regarded company that has the latest intel on whatever airline you’re trying to get hired at.

I also used to conduct interviews at one of my former engineering jobs, and I strongly discourage anyone from thinking I know crap about getting someone hired at their dream airline job. The knowledge I had when I interviewed at UAL/FDX is already three years old, which is an eternity. I guarantee you don’t know what the current interview process is like at F9/FDX/UPS/Kalitta/Atlas.

Can’t recommend Cage enough. Felt very well prepped for both my interviews at the legacy level.
