AA vacancy bid

Didn't know where to put this or start a new thread. Question for the AA guys.

Is it AA policy for the non-flying pilot to keep his hands there at the base of throttle?

It was a simple question. And I wasn’t even attacking Delta. I find the reactions by others to be over the top. It was a simple question, and the AA folks answered it. No AA guy seemed to take any offense at what I asked. Thanks to those that did answer. I was simply curious as to whether that was a procedure or a technique.

It is not at our shop. In the past regional, it wasn’t, but there was one checkairman who forced you to put the hands at throttles. Since it wasn’t SOP, the next time I flew with a regular CA, it threw him off when I did that.
