GoJet is next. Hopefully that will be the last of the carnage.

I doubt GoJet is going to shut down as they have the contract to operate the CRJ-550 for United. No one would be able to take over that flying right now if they were to shut down. If anything those pilots at TSA and Compass will just transition over to GoJet to operate the 550. Not sure about the dispatchers which really sucks.

I don't think United is going to have a problem finding another aircraft to handle those 50 3 people. I'd imagine GoJet and Mesa are next up, unless Amazon saves Mesa.

Take over what flying? They may have CRJs but there's no flights for them.

You can’t just move the pilot group from TSA or Compass to GoJet. They have to go through the hire process like any other applicant due to the shenanigans around how GoJet came to be. From what I’ve heard they were moving some TSA staff, but it sounds like that ended due to all of this.

I didn’t know that the pilots couldn’t transition and would have to start over as new hires. I guess now that I think about it, it makes sense.

My whole point in the above post is that it seems to me that GoJet would stick around because it has a long term contract with United to fly the 550. From what I understand, United ended TSAs contract like Delta and American ended theirs with Compass. I’m not naive enough to think that this can’t change in the future, especially with what is going on now, I just don’t think they are going to be the next to fall. But who knows, maybe I’m wrong, time will tell.

The contract won't matter if GoJet doesn't have much of a schedule or make enough money to remain in business. Also, the 550's are OO owned 700's on lease, it wouldn't take much effort to transition them to OO if UA had to/ wanted to. Absolutely nobody is safe right now.
