1st Step in the AA Alaska merger

I don’t think this is indicative of a merger. But I’ve always said if Doug and his gang were going to snap up anyone else in the next round of consolidation Alaska makes a lot of sense. Almost zero competition on routes.

Nobody else thinks this might be response in kind to DAL’s move into MIA?

It’s still a FA base? I thought it a closed like the pilots did. How big is the base?
Yeah it’s a small base (hence the dinosaur seniority). Also Uber senior for the mechanics and gate agents and rampers and what not.

I believe it’s only within the last 4-5 years they made it a satellite base.

Oh ok so it was a recent change. That makes sense.

Operated SEA-PIT a couple months ago. So sad, it’s a complete ghost town airport now. Which is unfortunate because Pittsburgh itself has grown a lot recently. All 3 brothers are employed in the PIT area: one doc, one big pharma, and one accounting/finance PWC.
