AA vacancy bid

Leave a legacy job for a regional that has a flow to a different legacy.

Depending on the airline and the age of the pilot we're already there.

While you'd be a fool to to pass up a job at Delta when compared to staying at a regional, you'd also be a fool for taking a job at Delta or Southwest over a job at United, simply from a seniority progression standpoint.
Do you mean American?

Any of you AA guys have advice with regards to the personality assessment? I completed everything but apparently did not score high enough. I’m beginning to think I answered too much towards “what’s does AA want to hear?” Versus being 100% myself. I like to think I can be customer service oriented and understand that aspect, but have different personal opinions. I can reapply in June.

I think this goes for all airlines and air lines.
Be yourself first. These people/computers sniff out those that aren’t. Be yourself to find a good fit. Failing a interview if you’re being yourself may be a blessing in disguise.
good luck!

You talking about Organizational Fit Assessment in Pilot Credentials? If a green check mark shows up you're good and that's all. It'll tell you if you didn't do favorably.

The checkmark means you took the assessment. It does not mean you passed the assessment.

(per a friend of a mine who went through that about 6 months ago)

If this whole deal doesn’t work out I’d probably go work at Home Depot before I subjected myself to the misery of regional CA reserve again.

“Misery of regional CA reserve”

?

If you started in this industry in 2007-2009, many regional pilots hired were FOs for 6-8+ years before they had a chance to be a buttom barrel plug regional CA. You guys have it pretty good today.

So people aren't allowed to complain because some people had it bad as well?

Regional pay today is the HIGHEST it’s ever been. And movement to the left seat is also the fastest ever, with some places taking DECs. And quite a few places offering guaranteed flows to mainline. It can’t be that bad?

For you AA guys, I know the Eagle flow was convoluted...maybe you can provide some accurate details....please correct my info:

1) You had the 200 some pre-2000 Eagle guys who had flow rights which AA tried to ignore, but they surprisingly won an arbitration and had to get slotted in to where they would have flowed.

2) You had 800 Eagle flows after that that got to flow in an expedited manner when their number came up

3) ?????

4) What ever happened to the Mid-Atlantic guys? It always sounded to me those guys got the short end of the stick.

So? Pay isn't everything. The QOL at regionals can be terrible, especially as the plug. DECs have it worse because FOs upgrade above them, so they stay the plug for a while. Every generation is gonna have its suck. I don't think you get to come in and tell somebody they have no reason to complain.
