Apparently one of the biggest kiddie porn busts for a pilot ever. An ex-GF guesses the password for his iPad, and once the police had that, this guy was done. Can’t imagine how prison would treat this guy? He could very well get Eppsteined. The descriptions of some of the pics/videos are downright disturbing. Babies being raped and such. :aghast:

Hired Spirit last year, Air Wis before that. Some on APC (yeah I know, bad source) said they knew him and were completely shocked at this news.

Unless you have some double secret probation details of which you are not making us aware, how can you possibly write something like that?

I really, truly hope that some of us still believe in that good ol' 'Murican family value of Innocent UNTIL proven guilty.

And to the OPer, I really don't understand the Thread Title. What the heck does this have to do with Spirit Airlines other than this guy happened to work there??

A scorekeeper? No. But I do remember the ones hitting the news at least since I entered the airline industry, including one at my past airline that I actually flew with.

Sure, man... he might be guilty as hell. But none of us know what's on the that hard drive... or anything else. It's all yet to be proven.

Or do you really not get how our system is supposed to work??

This is the internet, not a court of law. When you have videos of yourself abusing children on your electronic device, I'm gonna go ahead and write you off as a worthless POS.

This isn't another pilot reporting to work drunk story, the typical kneejerk assumption of innocence doesn't apply here, IMO.

You say that, but ask EFB groups (or really, any IT department, anywhere, with a user base greater than 1) about what they occasionally find on returned equipment. Or, if you're a particularly stupid scientist at [harm to ongoing matter], a network fileshare readable to the whole company, and so on.
