Regional Today, ULLC Tomorrow

Dude, check your own seniority list. Youre grabbing edv FOs like theyre on clearance. If youre arguing thats not every newhire, its valid info. But it is some of your newhire class every month (from what ive seen of ex coworkers) and a year from now if edv exists itll be more.

I thought you were in the airlines back in 06 and 07? Youve gotta be blind not to see the stars lining up. Its gonna be 3 or 4 years of this nuttiness, and oh yeah, youre gonna be fighting DL, AA & UA who also grab those year one guys too if they score enough points (whatever magic sprinkle dust the computer equates).

I simply haven't seen the results you're talking about. A year at a regional to show up on property? I've run into some guys that spent 2-3 years at a regional, but they weren't around much since they were flying planes around with the guard at the same time. Otherwise, most my friends are line check airmen at regionals, or captains with thousands of hours, and they're waiting on a class date where I work.

Are things amazing right now? Yes, they are. I'm going to upgrade after 3 years. I've gained 10% on the seniority list every year. This is amazing, I don't disagree with that.

But it's not a year at a regional and then showing up at a LCC amazing.

That being said, I'll be flying with the new kids this summer, so I'll let you know what experience levels I run into.

Also, expect things to start to suck sooner rather than later. I (don't) hate to be debbie downer, but at some point this ride is going to come to an end. I hope we've all got amazing jobs and United doesn't furlough 2,000 pilots. Again.

Im not going to debate facts with you. There were guys with a year and under going to jetblue last year when i was still at endeavor. You probably wont be flying with them unless their captain calls in sick but theyre out there at you company. There are edv pilots going there now who barely made it off fo reserve. Your company is getting bigger, i get that, its hard to keep track. And i said its not every guy in your newhire class but then you went and had the conversation anyway.

That op already has time, he comes to a regional, tries to make his little life a bigger life, im betting if he pushes hard he will be at one lcc or another. Maybe he likes his 20 plus day off, one or two trips bought off and never leaves a regional. I cant read his fortune or work ethic from a web board.

I dont have a crystal ball, if things are terrible a year from now i dont have the hot tip on that.

To be fair, since ULCCs have signed their contracts their hiring has become more competitive, but as little as a 18 months ago I had friends with 0 121 time, sub 2000 TT and an arrest getting hired to fly a yellow school bus.

You’re not getting it, are you?

I don't know wtf your problem is but I'm asking basic questions and you respond with some sort of aggression. Why don't you just not respond if my questions are beneath you? If I'm missing something than point it out or move on to the next thread. GTFO with your BS either way.

I think ive been clear about this in the past that im dumb when it comes to hr stuff. Thathasnt changed.
Also in that vein.
Stupid uneducated observation: if you live in nyc, bos or very close surrounding area, and if you want jbu, that seems to be good for you. Secondly if you can get to NYC with EDVs pass priveldges and deal with regional reserve work rules for a year, JBU has gotta look at that and say "ive seen all i need to, someone buy this kid a sammich and give him a hug and a real job! AND GET THAT STUPID HAT OFF HIS HEAD!"

Seems like most guys are spending a year or 2 at Endeavor then going to LCCs.

But I will say only because I used to be a JB poolie in contact with other Endeavor JB poolies... there was a lot of us.

Anecdotal only, but the less than three year Endeavor FOs who got picked up at JB (and there's a lot of them) had something else going on. Military, prior 121, prior 135 - something. Plus plenty of Captains.

I cant remember all the specifics but that could all be true too. I know one that got yanked with no priors and less than a year. He had a high motor for moving on.
Look man, after you get done buying JBU you just staple them to the bottom as furlough fodder. Ur fiiiiiiiine.

Oh, I'm sure there was! But mostly from what I saw they usually had more.

My one item on my bucket list is to be senior to @jtrain609 .
