Joined an illustrious airline pilot club today...

Thanks everyone.

We have worked hard to make sure the kids happiness comes before ours, no matter what. They are actually a little excited to have two houses to live in, two Xmas’s, and two parents that love them to death. My schedule works out really well for custody, so no fight there. We worked out property and financials pretty easily. And anything she needs in the future I can help with.

It’s actually been funny in the cockpit when people ask “sooo wife and kids at home?” and I drop the bomb on them, the look on their faces haha. Makes the long flights go by faster and I will sometimes get a beer out of it.

From a child of an ugly divorce’s perspective, thanks for keeping the kids at the center. I was 4 when mine separated, so I grew up with my own normal, but in retrospect and now with 3 of my own in a healthy marriage, I see how destructive it could have been. Good on you both for showing yours what healthy disagreement looks like.

Been there, done that. It took a little while but I did realize I was better off without her. Give it time. I stayed angry for damned near three years. Did nothing for me or anyone else.

I filed for divorce from my wife. This is neither a good nor bad thing, and this post is just therapy because its a weird thing to start a conversation with in my personal life. I feel comfortable letting all you jabronies know this.

We are moving forward amicably and remaining the parents of our children with joint custody. I never thought I would join this club, but my (ex-)wife decided she was a lesbian and theres nothing left of our marriage to go back to.

If it makes you feel any better, my nickname was good luck Chuck. My record was 8 girls got married with the first guy they dated after me. haha.

Every single one of my buddies thats married isn't allowed to meet up with any of their friends anymore. They have "a family to take care of now". Their wives are literally monsters that control every move they make. None of them are happy. They all have comprised who they are as a person to hold onto a woman.
