FedEx Expo in August

While FedEx stopped their Pilot Expos in Memphis they did pop one up that is going to happen in Pensacola on August 19th. It looks like the confirmation emails went out last night. Is anybody here planning to attend that might want to meet up?

Also, does anybody have any experience going to the FedEx Expos in Memphis? I'm wondering what the format/atmosphere is like.

I’m glad I don’t take myself too seriously.

Anyways to answer your question, I attended the first as an applicant and the second as a volunteer. To my knowledge non of the volunteers from the prior ones have been asked for this one. With that being said I have no idea of this ones format. The others were geared toward tours and showcasing the company. This one has the chief pilots office and one line pilot who happens to have been the boss of the Blues in a previous life. If I hear more I’ll post in this thread.

I’ve flown with previous spy plane guys and top gun grads. I flown with RJ trash. I base coolness SOLELY on how you act. I’ve had good/bad experiences regardless of past jobs.

I think it was more of an implicit connection to why the function is in P-Cola than a signal of how cool the guy happens to be.

Every big airline has passed on some very highly qualified individuals. Its not just a Delta or Fedex thing. And remember when one door closes, another opens.

Dude that’s what makes it fun.

Like I hear your Presidential Executive recommendation only comes once every 10 years. 10 years! And it’s not even a guaranteed interview. That’s got to be a joke, it tells you what they think of you and your word. ;)
