Envoy is open

I seem to recall hearing that during training the start time is 0300 local. Does anyone know if that is true?

Couple questions:
Anyone know when the class date is?
How often do they post this position?

Hey folks. Any suggestions on starting pay versus coming in with experience from Skywest? The pay here in Skywest is painfully bad and does not support the cost of living. I know its much more affordable to live in DFW. I'm tired of having to sell plasma to be able to eat here in Saint George

Really? The COI in SGU must have skyrocketed from a few years ago.

You don't go to Envoy to make money. You go to Envoy to have a fast track to AA.

My understanding was they liked Envoy because they used the same dispatch system. AA is changing to a new system in the near future, so that advantage may disappear.

Fake news. Envoy produces good dispatchers just down the street. AA will always take Envoy cats. And if you’re at envoy you likely know more than a few AA dispatchers.

I essentially quoted what one of their hiring managers said to me in my post, and I never said Envoy didn’t have good dispatchers.

Senior dispatchers everywhere I've worked are typically the best of the best. Damn, that was hard to type with a straight face.

There was a time when AA didn't take anyone from Envoy for a while. That being said, based on individuals who have come through training recently, Envoy alumni get through the quickest, followed closely by externals who have dispatched before, with internals taking the longest. It is true that Flightkeys is coming before too long and will replace Sabre FOS assuming the product tests well. When that happens, Envoy dispatchers will also have to learn a new system like anyone else.

Consider something else as well. With all the Envoy dispatchers going over to AA, the crowd replacing them is getting less and less senior. Meaning in future openings, it is very likely that candidates from other airlines will have more experience than people from Envoy. Given the amount of applicants per opening these days...something to think about.
