Isn’t right seat in a helo PIC?

Normally. On a few helos, namely ones that specifically do long line work, the PIC will be left seat

I’m thinking it’s left seat, but only because the main rotors on Russian helicopters rotate clockwise.

That's what I was thinking, but looking at the panel

The engine instruments are on the right side looks like
But then so is the cabin heat, and that's definitely FO job

For us in the Hawk community, PIC sits in either seat.

I usually ask the PI (FO) where he sat last mission, and make him switch to the other seat.

The HHs, the PIC sits right seat on the hoist and AR side. Though both sides of the cockpit can do the same. Left seat gets all the start and shutdown switchology fun.

They also probably need a copilot, relief pilot, a flight engineer, a navigator, a radio operator and a zampolit.
