JetSmarter flight disturbance/diversion

I would be willing to bet it’s another Xanax/Alcohol incident.

Last week I was jumpseating on a pax carrier and a 20 something year old man in the seat next to me was clearly intoxicated on something other than (or combined with) alcohol. Kept falling asleep on me, slurring his words, etc. Fortunately it was a short flight, but seriously wtf is with pax these days?! So extremely glad I fly cargo now.

According to this article, he had 45 grams of Marijuana in his bag and over $12k in cash too.

Private jet makes emergency landing in North Platte after man threatens to kill passengers

“According to the affidavit, the jet was operated by Jet Edge Company, which provides luxury jet transportation. Jet Edge is owned by Geh Air Transportation LLC in care of the Clinton Group of New York, the affidavit indicated.”

Wonder why they felt the need to include this info, especially the last sentence.

I think more rich people should use commercial as too many commercial flights damage the atmosphere
and are only half full too.

In fairness to the reporter, a lot of news stories contain fluff that doesn't matter.

Another story on this incident mentioned the passenger in question is a DJ in Las Vegas. Why does that matter? Who knows.

One possibility for naming the operator might be so future passengers can inquire about what is being done to prevent this from happening again. Not saying that's a good reason, but a possible reason.

I thought they had to name the operators so that they can’t be accused of only putting out stories about certain airlines and not others

* sound of showe curtain type partition closing *
“ the flight deck is secured now, captain “
:)

Yeah, I know. I flew charter looong before I came to the airlines. It could be as simple as shutting said curtain, and grabbing the crash axe. You protect the cockpit at all costs.

Sounds like he was having a good time right up until he went cray-cray.

But uh...
After he was checked out at a hospital, he was taken to jail and charged with making terroristic threats and resisting arrest, but those charges have since been dismissed.
Why dismissed....?
