That's a dangerous place to taxi. A luggage cart driver from a "particular airline I don't work for" almost got heemself kilt half dead when he had his face down in his PDA driving across the spine area and headed for my right engine.

Whoever decided to not dig a tunnel for the tugs to drive under the ramp in ATL was a fool. I'm convinced the entire world is TRYING to drive into your plane in ATL and LAX.

Back in 96-97, a ramper drove a tug into the right engine of a taxing Brasilia because he wasn’t looking where he was going. It did not end well for him.

They actually removed a few recently because it was determined that walkways interfere with shopping
