American orders 47 787’s

I said it’s good news that lower paying jobs will be replaced with higher paying ones. But thanks for beating the delta is awesome drum in every possible thread. We get it.

Never said Delta is awesome. Sounds like you got a Seggy size Delta chip on your shoulder.

You literally come into every AA thread and bring up the debt load.

This thread is a perfect example: AA announces big 787 order!

Cptchia: Bad news! That debt load!

Then when somebody calls you on it and reminds you you’re just a cog in the machine you respond with “you’re jealous!” It’s so predictable and petty.

Maybe I’m old, but I don’t remember bringing it up before. Care to find said posts?

You have 9k posts. I’m not going to sift through them all to show you what you’ve said.

Me: “hey guys we ordered some new planes.”

Cptchia: “American blows, delta rules. SUCK IT!”

Lol

Funny! But not what I said. Just pointing out you don’t want to be bedazzled by the shiny gewgaws while Parker packs it up your rear ends.

787 is killing the A350.
I mean as it should. It had 4 years of a head start. Still A350 close to 900 orders to the 787 1,200 orders. I still think it's pretty close. Certainly for American carriers in the last month the 787 has dominated the A350.

I'm beginning to wonder if Boeing is giving some good deals to American carriers. Otherwise why is AA paying a fee to cut orders on their A350 instead of swapping to the A330 neo? Why is Hawaiian ditching the A330 neo for 787? Airbus has spoken and said they want a price that was too low for them to accept. Makes me wonder, Boeing wants to own the American market. Just my theory. Plenty of orders and aircraft outside the US. To be completely honest, I feel like our carriers severely lack in this department of new aircraft compared to other countries. I guess that could be attributed to a lot of things. Like said above, we are still flying some OLD 767's in America, lol.

If it's not Boeing I'm not going!
When I was younger and first started flying and was hard core into flightsim, I always thought that the Airbus was lame and Boeing jets were real planes. A decade or so later, given the choice, I'd want to show up and do the easiest job in the most comfortable space I can be stuck in for hours and get my "I'm an aviator" fix from GA or aerobatic planes on my own time. The 787 is cool and all, but I totally understand why so many guys on here would rather fly the Airbus.

I'd rather fly the 78, even with the yoke.

But FFS Boeing, #ditchtheyoke!

Yeah it looks promising for the airbus narrowbodies in the revised plan today.... plus a supposed used 319 delivery via frontier rumored to be 9-12ish airframes.

That’s what I was getting at. It’s not all just good news. If you buy 47 new planes, but park more, you are actually losing jobs. That’s bad news for pilots.

New fleet numbers announced vs old forcasts.

End of year 2019 is now 943 vs 940,
EOY 2020 is 947 vs 935.
330-300s and 737-800’s stay.

Yep 767s mostly gone by end of 2020. And keeping the 9 330-900s. So even more swapping of g3 for g4.

But how bet that debt load?!?! Amirite??!?!!
