Archer season 9

"Never tell me the odds!"
“In the middle of this, seaplane pilot and semi-functioning alcoholic Sterling Archer is drinking, screwing, gambling, and generally bumbling around French Polynesia with a smart-ass parrot named Crackers,” executive producer Matt Thompson explained at the Archer panel. “Welcome to Danger Island.”

Seriously can this show get any better? I’m thinking they are going for the tales of the gold monkey theme this time. Which coincidentally was my favorite show as a kid growing up (well that and Airwolf).

(And before anyone jumps on me for posting in general it’s totally aviation related, Archers a freakin pilot!)

This could be fun. I liked Archer: Dreamland although a lot of people didn't. Archer: Vice was brilliant.

Are you ready for Archer to reinvent itself yet again? Archer Season 9 is about to be one of the most dangerous seasons yet for the long-running animated comedy on FXX. Titled Archer: Danger Island, the new season centers on the semi-functioning alcoholic seaplane pilot, Sterling Archer, now living in the lush South Pacific island of Mitimotu in 1939.

Here’s the full synopsis for Archer Season 9: “While the rest of the world is concerned about the impending Second World War, Archer is only concerned with who’s buying his next drink. Along with his trusty co-pilot Pam, Sterling must navigate quicksand, cannibals, super-intelligent monkeys, poison darts, pirates, and did we mention quicksand? Welcome to the mysterious and deadly world of Archer: Danger Island.”

Yeah, not crazy about dreamland, but I wouldn't turn it off if stumbled upon. Generally speaking, some very high end programming.

I think the ending to Dreamland was pretty meta for Adam Reed. The whole “you don’t survive that” in reference to the fact that the show basically ended after season 7 and now it’s in a network-supported “coma” of sorts. It’ll be interesting to see how he finishes it off after season 10.

Tales of the Golden Monkey was my favorite TV show when I was a kid. I was blown away when it was cancelled, and keep hoping they being it back! In this day of bringing back everything retro it might be possible ... I haven't owned a television in years, but I might buy one if it makes a come back
