I heard someone ask CLT tower the other day if they were going to have an elevator put in the new tower or stairs. The controller chuckled while responding.

I knew a few guys that worked CLT. I believe they both retired. One of them owned a Part 135 company based in JQF.

2 main reasons.

1. They legitimately can't do it
2. They realize the horrible mistake they've made moving to Long Island and want out

I had a coworker here wash out of N.90 from Liberty, said there was a coworker of his there that got certified on everything except the last (easiest) sector in the area, and washed out on that in order to get out. Of course that coworker of mine went to BTV, washed out on radar there, and now he is at ZNY. They will literally take anyone, but I had always heard a big problem at N.90 was a lot of the old timers just didn't want to lose their OT.

Nah, you're either all Radar or tower and departure. Same at MIA and PHL

Cross over to Center and you can work in the lovely community of Palmdale, CA.

Level 12 Pay with Los Angeles Locality and Housing in nice areas for less than $300k. A lot worse places to work in CA, thats for sure.

I worked with the old Training manager's daughter at ZNY, that's probably where I heard it. Of course a lot of my friends there are also upset about the bonuses, and the fact that there are bonuses at all kinda lends credence to that theory.

Soooo, next time I’m flying UPS 2076 into EWR or 1083 outbound back to Hooverville, how do I get “priority handling” ahhhh...without actually needing priority handling?!? You know, for the dinner run...

Is there a “safe word” to use or can I just name drop?

Those bonuses went away over a year ago. The only point to them was to try and provide incentive to people to come here and not withdraw.
