Ottumwa in a Hawker. So you're in purgatory? I'm sure Ottumwa is a nice place.

Oh thank God. I was starting to feel very old.
I liked this show as a kid. Imagine my surprise, when it was still on the air, heading out to go dirt bike riding and we had an odd experience with Mr. Vincent. We would normally load up 5-6 motorcycles on a boat trailer that my dad and my buddy's dad converted to carry bikes and hook it to my dads '84 Bronco and head for the hills. A Bronco is great vehicle for many things, towing was not it's strong suit. As we were climbing slowly up the 5 north away from LA in the slow lane we encountered a convertible Chrysler Le Baron going slower than us and seemingly having trouble staying in the lane. As we passed this car it was none other than Stringfellow Hawk with a wine cooler in hand and one in his lap, at about 7:30 am. I heard he had some issues with substance abuse later in life.

(Still) Drunk at 7:30 is one thing, but getting drunk on wine coolers?!??

Seriously though, he had some issues and it was unfortunate. Bellisario had the 80’s dialed in who knows what he could have done afterwards.

And I used to map that area. I’m so sorry, probably took a year from your life due to stress/anger.

Nah usually you guys are out of the way. It's when you come in with requests like "we'd like to work a mile off the departure end at 1,500' for 20 minutes" that exasperate us and you get denied hard. Although I often wonder if you guys were expecting the denial.
