Falcon Heavy Launch

I tried to contain myself in this mildly pretentious Seattle coffee shop, may have gotten a few odd looks but at least the coffee is good.

Just got word I won the bet. Central core didn't make it.

Never been pissed off to WIN a bet.

True, however the Saturn V wasn't reusable and the BFR is on the way.

I know, just pointing out that Falcon Heavy is the biggest out there by an order of magnitude, makes me wonder about the sheer power of the Saturn. Especially as I did not get to live those times.

The ability to be reusable is a major milestone on it's own and won't dispute that at all.

I cant find anything on it. Still an incredible step forward!

Word is it came down near but not on the barge. Not sure why it hasn’t been announced. Could be it was a soft landing like the last one and they hope the core is still intact. Support ships are enroute.

Once again proving that with enough NH3OHNO3, gyroscopes, and money, anything is predictably possible... except landing on a ship at sea.

I should use my powers for......screw this for good reasons.....I’m buying lottery tickets.

I witnessed a Saturn V launch as a small child.

It was as if the skies opened and the finger of God pointed to the stars, and the sound was as if He called out your name.
My Uncle was lurpin' through the bogs in Vietnam at that time.
It's weird, he said much the same thing about that place.

Live stream from the car up:

Waiting for this guy to come into frame and stomp on Spaceman's head.

Someone just made a interesting suggestion. Core made it and Musk wants to do a stray cat strut (?) into port with it.

Ya mean to tell me no one thought of having a boat a couple hundred feet away from the barge landing platform to film another view, when they know all too well that the cameras on the barge itself usually cut out due to heat/vibrations/landing sequence of the central core?
