CPZ pilots and "DPI"

Oh we know. He's also the one who told the pilots not to do go arounds because it hurts our performance numbers.

How this guy still works in 121 is beyond me.

And amusingly enough, he's eligible for the DPI! (or should that be SJIPI?)

It's not a guaranteed flow or even a guaranteed interview right?

Not sure why a major airline wouldn't at least give some preference/preferential interview (preferential, not guaranteed) to its regional carriers. What's the big deal?

It's definitely NOT a flow. Is it a guaranteed interview? I don't really know. It's... A thing, I guess. Although, according to this thread it might not even be a thing.

There is no such thing.

It is a figment of your leaderships imagination.

So we've been told.
The sordid, tenebrous rituals of the Illuminati: I heard the special Compass needed to find the secret interview chamber is the origin of the airline's name. ;)

This doesn't involve you, go BACK TO THE LAV! :)

Something must be going on. Every single horror story I hear coming from the west coast involving a regional ends up being Compost.

It wasn't like that before, when they used to be NW and based at just MSP/DTW/MEM.

It came about in a memo in the late 2010, early 2011 period. Long story short there was nothing in writing between the companies. It was billed as merely a handshake between people departments.

No idea what has been said recently as I am no longer there.

Years ago, when USAir was furloughing left and right, and "Boss" Hogg headed up the Jets For Jobs program, it was all enshrined in LOA 92 (or maybe 98? It's been forever). Anyhow, that LOA described (in great detail) how furloughed USAir pilots would flow down into the left seats (and eventually right seats) at some of the USX carriers, in exchange for those carries getting JETZ!!!!!lol!! What wasn't in great detail was the provision that allowed pilots at those USX carriers the ability to flow up to USAir once they started hiring again. There was one line, at the very end which said "Pilots will flow up per LOA TBD".

Did they run a retraction/clarification to the "clarification email" this morning? They were told to.

Honestly, I don't know what email your talking about. The only email I got was the morning system update, a seniority list showing those who qualify for the DPI, and then a correction to that seniority list.

You guys are getting treated like Scott's Tots over there these days. It's sad how much good things can change so quickly. CP used to be a great place to build hours!
Yeah, some of the decisions the leadership team have been making have been incredibly questionable. The day to day stuff (except for reserve) is fine, but the direction they are taking us is head scratching.

It's being taken care of, I hear.

Certain pilots that did the "testing" in the past, if competitive, will eventually get an interview but there is no "preferential" or "preferred" involved. It's not a new program, just a relic from the 2010 timeframe I assume being dusted off and professed as "new" to help with staffing and retention.

I guess.

They actually “tested” guys in a total BS capacity?
