Yes. Yes it is.Is it bad I like the airbus?
My bad....Yes. Yes it is.
Funny you should mention that... There as a memo that went out recently about a maintenance procedure to pre-heat Airbus engines at temps colder than 32...Just wait until the absolute joy that is booting up a cold-soaked Airbus in the wintertime in Alaska.

Is it bad I like that scheme on the airbus?
Yes. Yes it is.
My bad....
The only people that hate the airbus are people that haven’t flown the airbus.
Carry on hating.
That said- I’m surprised they’re keeping the airbus fleet.

Like +32 degrees F? I'm not well traveled on big high bypass engines but I've never heard of that. That's not even cold.

We don’t allow ours to become cold soaked. We just run the APU all night with the packs on. (Below -15)Just wait until the absolute joy that is booting up a cold-soaked Airbus in the wintertime in Alaska.
I was in Minnesota a couple weeks ago and it was -25C and we had to run the APU for 30 minutes before the air data computer started responding. We called maintenance and apparently it’s a pretty common thing. He told us to call back in 40 minutes if it still doesn’t work.Absolutely worst airplane to deal with in sub zero temps is the CRJ. Considering it’s built in the Great White North, by a snowmobile manufacturer, you’d think that was the one place it wouldn’t have any trouble.
It boots up just nice in 32* C San Jose, CR...Just wait until the absolute joy that is booting up a cold-soaked Airbus in the wintertime in Alaska.
Looks better than that turd rocket they call the 73 or are you a "proudly all Boeing" guy already?Yes. Yes it is.

But still, it'll be a cold day in hell before I voluntarily bid an Airbus
